Julie acts for a number of developers and investors in commercial and residential acquisitions and disposals, as well as handling development agreements, commercial leases and portfolio management. She regularly advises on business tenancies legislation and have extensive experience in dealing with matters before the Lands Tribunal for Northern Ireland.
She acts for a number of banks, advising in relation to secured lending, security and title reviews, enforcement strategies and debt recovery, and advises fixed charge receivers and insolvency practitioners in relation to disposal, letting and management of both commercial and residential property.
Where there is a conveyancing aspect, she also advises professional negligence indemnity insurers in relation to the defence of professional negligence actions.
Julie is a member of the Law Society of Northern Ireland, the Belfast Solicitors' Association, the Northern Ireland Commercial Property Lawyer's Group, Women in Business NI and the Northern Ireland Assembly and Business Trust.
Outside of work Julie enjoys spending time with her two boys and cheering them on at mini rugby. She once abseiled down Belfast's iconic Europa hotel so her youngest son thinks she moonlights as Spiderwoman!
