Garrett works across several inter-related disciplines including corporate/M&A, banking, project finance and energy. He advises sponsors, funders and investors on a diverse range of corporate and financing transactions in the energy, infrastructure and transport sectors.
For several years, Garrett has consistently been one of the most active project finance lawyers on the island of Ireland. He has extensive experience on the acquisition, development and financing of a variety of infrastructure, transport and power projects (renewables and conventional) in Ireland, the UK and Europe. Through his time as an in-house lawyer for a large utility, he has significant energy trading experience.
Garrett has worked on multiple cross-border transactions in various countries including Poland, Lebanon and South Africa.
He co-founded and taught on a master's level certificate in energy finance in Dublin City University. He is also the current chair of the Ireland Canada Business Association.
Prior to returning to Dublin, Garrett worked in London as a lawyer at London and New York based international law firms. He has extensive international experience on various corporate and financial transactions principally in the projects sector.
