          Florian Daniel LLM (Media Law)

          Senior Associate // Certified Attorney for Intellectual Property Rights

          Florian specialises in intellectual property rights, media law, copyright law and unfair competition law. He also provides advice in internet law and e-commerce law, with an emphasis on personal and press rights.

          Florian advises German and international companies and individuals working in the area of media, IT, entertainment, arts and other sectors. Florian handles complex commercial and intellectual property litigation, licensing and transaction, involving competition law and trademark law. He assists companies in all legal matters of advertising, market positioning and market development and gives strategic advice.

          The main areas of expertise extend beyond copyright, trademark and competition law to all matters relating to media, in particular information technology. 
          Florian holds a Master of Laws degree in media law and, due to his particular practical experience in the field of intellectual property rights, is entitled to hold the title of specialist attorney "Intellectual Property".

          Florian advises companies on the evaluation and legal protection of technology-oriented business concepts in particular and can fall back on extensive expertise, which he has acquired not least through the development and implementation of his own legal-tech project in the field of digital marketing.

          Prior to joining DWF in May 2017, Florian worked for a medium-sized law firm specialising in intellectual property law in Berlin from 2010 to 2012. Afterwards (2012 to 2017) Florian was the founder and partner of a specialist law firm specialising in intellectual property, copyright, media and IT law in Berlin.

          Florian is also involved in the newly founded Blockchain Bundesverband e. V. (i. Gr.) - Association for the Promotion of Blockchain Technology in Germany and chairs the working group "General Law" with the aim of making the legal framework for blockchain and similar decentralised technologies based on cryptography innovation-friendly and creating legal certainty.
