Florentine specialises in international trade and in World Trade Organisation ("WTO") law and in all aspects of European Union law including EU trade law, customs laws and procedures and EU competition law. Florentine also advises clients on Belgian corporate and real estate law and litigation.
She has assisted a variety of clients such as private parties and professional associations in several EU trade defence proceedings (anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and safeguards) across a wide range of industries among which the ceramic and steel industry.
Florentine has also experience in customs related matters where she helps clients reducing duty exposure through customs compliance programs and represents clients in customs refund proceedings before the Belgian courts.
Prior to joining DWF, Florentine worked for a leading U.S. law firm in Brussels and for the Permanent Mission of the European Union to the WTO in Geneva, Switzerland.
Florentine is Dutch and French bilingual, is fluent in English and is currently learning the Greek language. She is an avid swimmer and road cyclist and plays the classical guitar.
