          David Walton


          David is a Real Estate Partner with more than 25 years' experience of providing practical and commercial advice to businesses and not-for-profit organisations for which property is not the primary activity.

          David brings significant commercial experience to property practice. His expertise ranges from corporate acquisitions and sales for development to the negotiation of complex leases and option agreements.

          David has advised a large variety of businesses and charities both nationally and more locally as he is keen to help clients manage their property portfolios more efficiently _ and where possible, to save money.

          Utility companies number among his clients, notably Scottish Power and United Utilities.

          He also has particular expertise in the not-for-profit sector where, for example, he has been involved in the iconic Irish World Heritage Centre development.

          He is a member of DWF's Diversity Steering Group.

          Away from work David chairs the D'Oyly Carte Opera Trust and is a member of Salford Choral Society. He is Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester and chairs Methodist Insurance plc and the Methodist Church Law & Polity Committee.
