          David Fardy


          David is a Barrister with particular expertise in personal injury litigation and experience in civil, employment and commercial law.

          David joined the Advocacy team in November 2017 having previously worked as an in-house barrister with a firm of solicitors specializing in insurance litigation. As such he has extensive experience in personal injury law, having appeared for claimants and defendants in all types of interlocutory hearing and trials across all tracks. He also has considerable drafting experience of pleadings, questions to experts and advices on liability and quantum. He has a particular interest in credit hire litigation, fraud / LVI claims, and inquests.

          David is instructed in all areas of civil, employment and commercial litigation. He receives instructions to attend all types of interlocutory hearing and trials and is frequently instructed to draft defences and advices on liability and quantum.

          David is also available to deliver seminars and training.

          • Struck out a £35k claim in a dispute concerning admissions in the MOJ Portal and the extent of actual and ostensible authority on the part of the insurer.
          • Successfully defended a claim for credit hire charges on the grounds of unenforceability given the claimant's misunderstanding about the nature of the credit hire agreement.
