As Managing Partner and CEO, Andrew's work is focused on managing and running the firm and implementing the strategy agreed by our partners. This means enhancing the client service across all functions, developing and implementing our strategic vision as well as the ideas that our people have.
Andrew sits on the Strategic Board and is part of the process which recommends the strategic direction to the partners at DWF. He also sits on the Remuneration and Nomination Committee to ensure that people remain critical to the success of the business.
Andrew chairs the Executive Board along with the Corporate Responsibility Leadership Group to ensure that DWF's values and culture are brought to life within the business, allowing the firm to have a broader impact on clients, people, community and environment.
DWF has directed substantial resource at developing infrastructure, processes and systems, as well as investing over £12m in technology designed to improve operational efficiency and communication. These are the ways the firm ensures outstanding client service. Andrew is passionate about service excellence which was demonstrated when DWF became the first law firm in the UK to commit to the Net Promoter Score system for both its clients and people.
Since becoming Managing Partner and CEO in January 2006, Andrew has led and supported the firm's growth from £34m to £186m turnover and seen the head count increase from 500 to over 2100 people. He was awarded Managing Partner of the Year at the Legal Business Awards 2014.
DWF has enjoyed recognition as one of Europe's 50 most innovative law firms by the Financial Times, as well as being independently ranked first of all top 20 law firms for quality of legal advice and joint first of all national law firms for service delivery and responsiveness. The firm was named Legal Innovator of the Year at the Legal Business Awards 2015 and Best Leadership of Innovation and Best Managed Workplace at the Managing Partners Forum for Management Excellence 2015.
Andrew is a strong advocate of doing things differently and focusing on service excellence by delivery through the right service platform aligned with clients' needs. Andrew believes that great people lead to great clients which leads to an awesome firm.Andrew never wanted to be a lawyer! He always wanted to do something which would help him get the best out of people whilst making a broader contribution. He thinks he has got his perfect job!
