DWF has appointed regulatory partner Robbie Constance as the business continues to boost its City team. Robbie specialises in financial services with a focus on conduct regulation, proposition and distribution and the associated risks.
Joining from corporate and insurance law firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC), Robbie brings with him more than 16 years' experience of regulation and risk in financial services. He has a particular interest in the investments / wealth and asset management and insurance sub-sectors, and fintech (such as so-called robo advisers). Robbie also provides consultancy services to clients on payments, consumer credit and funds regulation, and acts for firms and their senior managers across the full range of financial services, dealing with investigations and systemic risk management.
Graham Dagnall, DWF's Practice Group Partner for Litigation, said: "We have grown our wider litigation practice over the last year and particularly across our international jurisdictions. We continue to look at how we can grow and evolve to meet the demands of our clients and take advantage of opportunities in particular markets. Robbie will be a real asset to the team, bringing a new area of specialism to DWF and will play a key role in bridging the gap between traditional and digital financial services, between contentious and non-contentious regulatory work and between DWF's Insurance and Commercial divisions
Robbie Constance added: "DWF has highly respected litigation and corporate offerings and, with the launch of Connected Services last year, the business is well placed to meet the regulatory consultancy needs of clients using technology and an innovative approach to service delivery. There is a real opportunity to deliver value to clients through this offering so I'm very pleased to come on board."
DWF has grown its UK and international litigation team over the last 12 months with a number of lateral hires including the recent hires of litigation partners Ricky Cannon in Scotland and Rabih Tabbara in Dubai.
