The Insurance Team has particular expertise in workers compensation (both statutory and common law), public liability and occupiers liability claims, medical negligence – acting on behalf of a  number of state-based insurers and government bodies, self-insurers, and large Australian companies, as well as national and international underwriters.

In the field of Industrial Relations and Employment Law, the office has built a growing and successful practice – frequently representing employers in employment disputes, and IT disputes relating to enterprise bargaining and industrial action.

Our Occupational Health and Safety practice has developed a first class reputation, having been instructed in some of Australia’s most serious and high-profile workplace accidents. The team’s expertise is also frequently called upon to proactively review systems and safety of some of the state’s largest employers.

In Commercial Law, the firm provides advice and assistance to private sector corporations in the energy, resources, and property and construction fields.

The Brisbane office has had a long business association with Master Builders Association (QLD), and is a key supporter of the MND and Me Foundation (Motor Neuron Disease)  as well as the Endeavour Foundation.
