Matthew Broadbent, business development director of LCN, said: “The LCN awards are a real proving ground. With over 2,000 trainees and NQs surveyed, the awards paint a truly accurate picture of which firms do a great job in recruitment and training. All the nominees should be congratulated as the competition across every category is fierce.”
The vacation scheme is a scheme which we are extremely proud of at DWF LLP. We host a range of informative activities throughout the two week programme, and students get involved with a number of live legal matters to gain valuable experience. However the students aren’t unaided, we provide a high level of support including trainee buddies and supervisors, so alongside the Emerging Talent Team, the students can feel that they are a part of DWF right from the beginning! Finally we arrange several social activities throughout the vacation scheme, to allow the students to get to know each other and other DWF colleagues away from the work place, and to reward them for their hard work throughout the day.
Prior to the presentation of the award, the feedback read: "The vacation scheme was an extremely valuable insight into life at the firm. Spending two weeks carrying out trainee tasks, working with future colleagues and experiencing the culture of the firm solidified my decision to join. I was also able to get a great feel for the values of the firm and the key role the sectors have, which developed my understanding of the firm’s business and services. I thoroughly enjoyed the social aspect of the scheme, which included activities such as rock climbing, pizza making and Friday fridge."
Our summer vacation scheme for this year runs between Monday 13th June and Friday 30th June (date varies between locations), and applications are now closed. However keep an eye out for our vacation scheme for 2018, which will be accepting applications from October 2018!
