Child Arrangements for Residence & Contact

When parents separate it can be hard to keep things amicable. You may have contrasting views on what’s best for your children and where they should live or the time spent with each of you. It can be distressing for all involved.

Parents will need to reach an agreement on the arrangements, deciding which parent the child will live with and the visitation rights of the other parent. The time the non-resident parent spends with the child is known as contact.

Our nationally renowned family team can advise on all issues relating to children. From the fundamentals of children’s arrangements for contact with their respective parents through to specific issues such as school or trips abroad, as well as more specialised cases involving international jurisdiction and cross-border disputes.

We combine exemplary legal knowledge of the whole legal process with a sympathetic and understanding approach. We are recognised for our approachable style as well as energetic negotiation techniques. We aim to reach satisfactory agreements without  going to court if at all possible. We have a long track record in working with parents in these fields and consider it an immense privilege to be trusted with this.  Your most precious things in your life are your children. We take this responsibility very seriously.
